Michael Stewart is a multi-award-winning writer, born andbrought up in Salford, who moved to Yorkshire in 1995 andis now based in Bradford. He has written several full-lengthstage plays, one of which, Karry Owky, was joint winner ofthe King’s Cross Award for New Writing. His debut novel,King Crow, was published in January 2011. It is the winnerof the Guardian’s Not-the-Booker Award, and has beenselected as a recommended read for World Book Night.Michael works as a senior lecturer in Creative Writing atthe University of Huddersfield, where he is the publisherof Grist Books. His latest novel, Ill Will, will be publishedby HQ in November 2018.
