Val McDermid is a No.1 bestseller whose novels have been translated into more than thirty languages, and have sold more than sixteen million copies. Katy Mahood was born in 1978 and studied at Edinburgh and Oxford Universities. After a brief career in publishing, she has since worked in marketing, most recently for the cancer charity Maggie’s. She has contributed to a number of publications on architecture and health and writes a blog which features occasional poetry and short fiction. She lives in Bristol with her husband and two children. Entanglement is her first novel.
