Mary Chamberlain has lived and worked in England and the Caribbean&44; and is Emeritus Professor of History at Oxford Brookes University. Her book&44; Fenwomen&44; was the first to be published by Virago Press in 1975. Since then she has written many books on women’s history&44; oral history and Caribbean history. She is a graduate of the acclaimed Creative Writing MA at Royal Holloway&44; University of London and now lives in London with her husband. Her novel The Dressmaker of Dachau was published in 2015
